Mark Woolley Electric Hair

Welcome to my first ever blog.

I am a fashion and beauty photographer, working in both the South, and North of England. The new website is a welcome step forward, and I hope you feel it has been worth the wait. I will give details in a future blog on the guys who did all the hard work on front and back end on the site.
The blog will be flexible and grow in certain directions, as this is an arena that is new to me. It aims to keep you up to date with what’s going on, and it won’t be a daily diary of how the blueberries tasted with my porridge. It will have latest postings of my shoots, inspirations, things I’ve seen, industry knowledge, and thoughts on how the fashion, hair and beauty photographic side of things is evolving.

If you have any thoughts on the blog, please do get in touch, post a comment, email or give me a call.

I’m kicking the first post off after a great initial session with one of the hair industry’s most acclaimed stylists, Mark Woolley: www.electric-hair.com With both of us having had busy diaries through March, April and May, it was great to nail a date in June for a shoot.

This was shot with Mark and his colleague, Will Ackerley, part of the Electric Hair Art Team. Janeen Witherspoon created the beautiful, edgy, yet superbly understated makeup. Jess is a new member of the Electric Hair team, and helped out with the running of the day – check the group shots at the end.

To sign off – I’d like to congratulate Mark and Fran on the new family member as of Monday the 14th of June… Nice one guys.

Mark - throwing shapes, and certainly setting the pace.

Jess - think I left the hairdryers on

Janeen - beautiful moves. Can anyone really be that graceful?

Jack - they had to peel him off from the ceiling

Will - winner. Check the hair - au natural of course

What a great new site, Jack! Really like the consistency of colours and the simple, classy design. Great work…cutting edge but with true depth and breadth to back that edge up!
